Due to the subtle richness and refinement of the final product, STUCCO VENEZIANOwas the most widely used finish in the historic Italian palazzos of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.
The most traditional, luxurious and classically “Italian” of the Pietra Viva finishes, STUCCO VENEZIANO is made from pure Grassello di Calce, a unique limestone found in the river Piave outside of Venice, and finely-ground Carrara marble. Its application requires a high level of craftsmanship and knowledge in ancient surfacing application techniques to intentionally create the visible effect of seemless patterns. Made of the finest Carrara marble grain, STUCCO VENEZIANO is more delicate than other finishes and therefore used only for interiors.
From the Grassello ("Classic") family, STUCCO VENEZIANO is made of a mix of Grassello di Calce (limestone) and finely-ground Carrara marble. STUCCO VENEZIANO is a 100% natural product.
STUCCO VENEZIANO is applied in either two or three base coats, depending on the underlying surface material using a very small trowel. STUCCO VENEZIANO is used only for interior walls and ceilings.
STUCCO VENEZIANO is famous for its traditionally busy and irregular patterns. It has an elegant transparency that gives the finish a luxurious soft and silky effect for walls and ceilings. A sealer wax is applied at the end of the process to obtain the delicate luster.
Pietra Viva can custom make or match any color according to the specific needs of each individual client and project.
