PALLADIANO
PALLADIANO, also commonly called “Spatolato”, was the Italian finish most favored by Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio (1508 – 1580) in the 16th century. His passion for marble-like effects and interest in new textures inspired him to use this incredible finish in all of his villas.
Like STUCCO VENEZIANO, PALLADIANO is made from pure Grassello di Calce, a limestone found in the Piave river outside Venice, and the precious finely-ground Carrara marble. To achieve the unique and uniform application of this marble-like finish requires expert artisans skilled in the application of ancient decorating techniques. Pietra Viva recommends the use of PALLADIANO only for interiors since it is made, like the STUCCO VENEZIANO, of the finest Carrara marble.The luxurious marble-like finish of PALLADIANO gives walls and ceilings a wonderfully old world and timeless effect.

Description:
Like STUCCO VENEZIANO, PALLADIANO is from the Grassello family and is made of a mix of Grassello di Calce (limestone) and finely-ground Carrara marble. PALLADIANO is a 100% natural product.
Application:
PALLADIANO's application process requires a minimum of three coats applied with a metal spatula. PALLADIANO is only for interior walls, ceilings, columns or other curved surfaces. A wax sealer is applied in the final stage for protection and to insure a glass-like, polished marble effect.
